Take It With You!
As we learn how to live as disciples of Jesus Christ, here helpful tools will be offered to aid in your study.
The world regards it as peace when evil is torn away and separated from the person that is so when one is poor, and thus thinks that he has great unrest with his poverty, and seeks to find a way to lay it aside, and supposes that, if it were done away with, he would have peace and be rich. It is the same with someone who is dying, and death lies upon him. He thinks thus, "If I could be rid of death, then I would have peace and remain alive." But Christ does not give such a peace. He rather allows the evil to lie there so that it presses the person and does not take it away but uses another art and makes the person different and removes the person from the evil, and not the evil from the person.
