To help you apply the sermon here are some questions to talk over with your friends and family.
1. When were you baptized? What, if anything, do you do to remember your baptism?
2. How does the promise of forgiveness given in baptism comfort you in the face of your sin, the world's temptations, and the devil's attacks?
3. How does the promise of forgiveness free you from the fear of God? Why do you think it is important to hear that promise from someone else?
4. Forgiveness comes to us through the Pastor's mouth in the Divine Service during confession and absolution, but it is not bound there. How can you share this forgiveness in your home, work, etc.?
