Snacks and Treats
for
First Responders
Greetings Members of Faith Lutheran Church,
As we are approaching the Advent season, we are reminded to be thankful for our many blessings. It has been customary to deliver homemade cookies to the first responders of Moorpark. But as is with so much of our life today, COVID-19 has changed things a bit. In order to protect those doing the baking and those doing the eating, we have decided to tweak things a bit while showing our appreciation to our first responders. This has been a tradition at Faith. We feel that this year, especially, we should continue this tradition even if somewhat modified.
We will provide a total of 5 Christmas shopping bags for the stations who normally receive our cookies. These bags will be in the Fellowship Hall. They will have attached a message of our thanks and our wish for their safety in the new year. We ask our members to donate factory wrapped snack type foods to be put into these shopping bags. The bags will then be delivered during the week of Christmas as our Thank You.
SUGGESTIONS for types of snacks:
Wrapped individual candy (such as given on Halloween)
Individual bags of chips
Energy bars
Raisins
We would like to supply snacks that can be grabbed and taken for lunch or on the go. Yet this food will remain clean and unspoiled. As you bring your donated snack items to church, please distribute them in the bags so they will be ready for delivery.
Thank you.
