Take It With You!
During this series please consider reading through the book of Ephesians daily with your family or on your own. After each sermon, questions will be provided to guide your reading and prayer time. God's blessings in your study!
1. Read through Ephesians 5:21. How do you understand the word submit? Why is it hard for us to submit to other people? For a Biblical definition, see Philippians 2:1-11 especially verse 2:3-4.
2. a) Wives, what are some ways in which you can submit to your husband?
b) Husbands, what are some ways you can love your wife sacrificially as Christ loved the church?
3. This week, sit down as a couple and go over these verses. It may bring up some hard issues. Be willing to listen, repent, forgive, and grow with each other.
4. The Bible describes the relationship between Christ and his church as that of a husband and a wife. What insight does this give you into how a husband and wife should relate to each other? What does it tell you about Christ's love for us?
